How to Resolve out of Memory Issue

We have developed a portal , it contains birt Reports(around 30 Reports) and we deployed our project in site.After deploying , we got an Exception like "Out of Memory Exception " (i.e Prem Gen Space Error ), For that we have increased Tomcat server heap memory size also.Even we are getting same problem,

Can any one give solution for that, please

as well as ,can any one explain how to free the memory (i.e cache memory) after rendering birt Report

What is your BIRT version? Also, what did you set your heap and perm gen values to? Are you ever able to view your reports? Or do they error the first time?

williams, i can able to see All reports properly , After Accessing reports so many times , i got this Exception(i.e Out of Memory Exception (Prem Gen space Error)). 
 
i am using birt version is 3.7.0.

I need urgent solution please..........., how i can solve this problem, 
 
My observations 
================ 
 
1) After Accessing Birt Reports, it is maintaining cache for each report 
2) while exporting birt report to Excel or pdf (in this case also i got out of memory Exception ) ,i.e after many exports 
 
 
I have one doubt, 
 
is it possible to limit memory usage , while generating reports? 
(or) 
 
Any tuning parameters are there ?
