scripting within time charts

Hi,

i have a question if there exists any possibility to create a time chart with a "scripted time variable"?

eg.

on the x axis is the time eg. all kalender weeks from 2010 till now

and the values for the y axis comes from my statement but i use the time values from x axis and for each kalender week the statement will be executed...

hope my description is clear?

You can create a scripted dataSet to create all the dates you're wanting, then join this dataSet with your current dataSet. This way, all the dates in your range will be in your chart data. Or, you could simply deselect the is category axis, for the x-axis and allow it to be a true dateTime axis and set the min and max how you'd like it. Then, your data would just be filled into the appropriate spot on the x-axis timeline.

what do you mean with a scripted dataSet?

i try to explain it with some values attached.

ok i can find out the submit date of each entry and the closed date (when they are closed) but all values and states which are between submit and closed are not 100% defined... i mean i have to check for each date in which state the entry is - when i want to create a time chart

at the moment i do it like: ALL(action_name: submit) - Closed(new_state: closed) = Open

but when i also want to check the in which state the entries are in a time chart this doesnt work...

I thought you were saying you wanted every date between a date and today's date, but your chart was only showing the dates from your result set. Now, I'm not totally certain I know exactly what you're wanting. Are you saying you're using a gantt chart and are grabbing the start and close dates, but you want to see all the different changes, not just submit and close? Can you maybe use the data you have attached, put it in a CSV file and make an example using it, showing what you have so far, and from that, let me know what you're wanting to see. Thanks!
