transient report timeout

Hello,
I am new to BIRT.
I have designed a report in BIRT eclipse 2.6.2.
The report has a crosstab, 1 pie chart and 1 line chart.
I have downloaded actuate iserver sp3 trial version for running my reports.
When I run the report using iserver, reports always gets Transient Report Timeout error.
I have updated the timeout variable in etc/acmetadescription.xml file to 100 minutes, still timeout error is not resolved.
also i have changed paramenter value in iportal/WEB-INF/web.xml file, but bo effect.
Please help.

The answer to this issue is not to increase the transient timeout, but rather address design issues in the rptdesign. See your <a class='bbc_url' href='

If you still see performance issue after addressing design issues, the iServer can definitely be tuned to allocate more memory to generation and viewing process, memory allocated to transient reports, and much much much more.
