Forcing a LineFeed in a Computed Field

Hello there -- i have a computed field in a data set which represents several parts of an address. We would like these on separate lines on a letter
so i added '\r' to force a line feed.. This seems to work in the Developer preview mode but when creating a PDF it seems to ignore those characters.

Is there a better technique i should be using to generate a line feed / carriage return in a template?

Here is an example:


row["RECIP_ADDR_LINE_1"] +" \r" + row["RECIP_ADDR_LINE_2"] + " \r"+ row["RECIP_ADDR_LINE_3"]

You could try '\n'. What is your BIRT version? Both work, in PDF, for me, in 4.2.
