BIRT 2.2.1 Crosstab performance issue

Hi,

We have facing performance issue with Crosstab with 22 dimension and 2 facts. When data is more than 3000 rows the report keep on looping and never data being displayed on the birt report viewer.

Is there any limitations on BIRT 2.2.1 version, and is there any way we can limit the number of rows displayed.

You can find some cube size settings in the web.xml. There's probably also a setting you can set in window->preferences, as well.

Thank you. We are deploying the BIRT Reports on Tomcat. We can change the below setting locally. 
Windows-Preferences-Data-Preview Data - Max in Memory Cube Size 
 
How to apply this settings in server side ?

If you're using the viewer, in the WebViewerExample under the WEB-INF folder, you'll see the web.xml. In there, you'll find settings for the cube.

We just found that this is a bug in BIRT 2.2.2/2.2.1 version , after certain limit 4000 Records,it will show blanks for the values after the record limit goes past a certain point. Upto 3000 records we are able to see the data in cross tab report. please see the below link.

Do you have any suggestions.? Due to some integration with Third party tool, we are still using older version of BIRT 2.2.1.

There's probably not much that can be done, besides upgrading. I'm not sure how BIRT is used in your third party tool, but you could always deploy a newer version of BIRT separately and make calls to the viewer using a URL or you could embed the viewer into a JSP page.
