Actuate API - GetContent
vidhyat
We are trying to download rptdocuments as PDF using Actuate API -> getContent ot getCustomFormat. both are giving SOAP Server exception error. I am logged into iserver using Login API and am also able to fetch list of files under a folder.
Sampla code:
Message = "Soap Client error."
StackTrace = " at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.ReadResponse(SoapClientMessage message, WebResponse response, Stream responseStream, Boolean asyncCall)\r\n at System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapHttpClientProtocol.Invoke(String methodName, Objec...
Here is my code:
GetContent gc = new GetContent();
gc.Object = new ObjectIdentifier();
gc.Object.Id = FileId;
gc.ViewParameter = new ViewParameter();
gc.ViewParameter.Format = "PDF";
gc.ViewParameter.ViewOperation = new ViewParameterViewOperation();
gc.ViewParameter.ViewOperation = 0;
gc.DownloadEmbedded = false;
gc.Component = new ComponentType();
gc.Component.Id = "0";
GetContentResponse gcres = new GetContentResponse();
gcres = a.getContent(gc);
I get the SOAP error for the last line.

Vidhyat,<br />

Could you provide details of your Header?<br />
Have you set FileType in the header to be the format of the report being called (NOT PDF)?<br />
<br />
What version of the iServer are you working with?<br />
<br />
Best Regards,<br />
