HI
This is arya again here , i have some questions ,when report added in mobile subscription and that contains some parameters which has to be blank while adding but while running in App on that parameter which gets displayed by default value in report.what can be done for this.
Also I have one more question. Is there any facility to write another wrapper android app and pass the details of the settings to the BIRT mobile app so that Clients need not configure it by themselves.
The current app supports android 3.x, the next release will add support for 4.x as i got this message a very long back , so is the next support 4.x has been released.
Kindly help me out
Thanks
Arya

Can you explain more on the parameter issue? Are you trying to add a default value to a parameter or hide a static parameter or what?
For the wrapper, you can use the JSAPI to build your own custom interface to the BIRT iServer. Unfortunately, the current BIRT Mobile application does not have any way for another application to pass it configuration information.
I'm checking on the Android 4.x support.

Android 4.x support will be in the next release. There is no set timeline on that, yet, though. I'll let you know when I hear a date.

Hi mwilliams,

actually we dont want to put any default value..it should be blank,
The report which is added for mobile subscription, has some parameter to enter. Eg: Year. By default this parameter is getting some value populated. Ideally it should be blank and user should enter it. In the report there is not default parameter set. Where we have to check for this parameter population. In report design or in the admin console?

There isn't a prompt to enter a parameter in BIRT Mobile, yet, but there is a parameter button for the user to change existing parameters. You could also put instructions into the report notifying the user that they can change the values, or schedule multiple reports with the different values and allow the user to subscribe to each of those reports.
