DataDeploy: Cannot deploy to SQL Server Databas

I am having difficulties getting data deploy to push teamsite extended attributes out to a SQL Server 2000 Database. I have created the configuration file which specifies where to extract the ea's from within teamsite and where to push the data to but on running this file from the command line using iwdd.ipl I just get the following message:

TeamSite_Templating data_root is to templatedata
Server socket bound on port(1949) interface(cms) thread[main] waiting to accept...

On checking the log file it revealed the following:
ERROR:ERROR: Unable to determine operation mode
IWDataDeploy Failed

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what I am doing wrong?

I am using:
Teamsite v5.5.5
DataDeploy v5.5.2 (Build9275)
MS Sql Server 2000

How are you invoking DD?
you should be using
iwdd.ipl cfg=****.cfg deployment=mydep logfile=log.out

can you post a little more information? how are you envoking DD? What versions, etc...

I was getting this same error and discovered that I had trying to invoke a deployment with the wrong name. Check the name of your deployment.

iwdd.ipl cfg=$ddhome/conf/DataDeploy.cfg deployment=[correct name of deployment]

did you get that up and running? there is a special driver (microsoft-inetuna) shipped with dd for sql server. can't remember exactly what it's for but we needed it for some feature. so dont use the standard odbc drivers comming with NT

For DD 5.6, you should be able to use either the Una2000.jar driver supplied with DD or the Microsoft JDBC type 4 driver which needs to be downloaded from Microsoft's web site.

I believe DD 5.5.2 only supports the Una driver (again, supplied with DD).
