How to open rptdesign file (with auto login) when clicking from external system
lnallamalli
We are using Actuate 11 sp3 and RSSE
How to open rptdesign file directly when clicking from external system without asking user name and password (I can pass user's user name, password as a token)
and also how to pass paramaters in the URL itself which are being used in rptdesign?
Appreciate your help
Thanks,
Prasad

You will need to implement single sign on. The single sign on adapter is a Java based class which extends the iPortalSecurityAdapter class. This class is called by Information Console when authentication is required. Keep in mind the iServer will still need to authenticate the user, and in your case since you are using an RSSE, the iServer will delegate that to the RSSE.
You can read more about this in the "Using Actuate Information Console security" chapter of the following manual for more information:

To pass parameters to a report, you can simply include the parameter name and value as part of the URL query string (i.e. ¶mName=paramValue).
