Crosstab group by months in year with multirow calculation

Dear All,

I'm trying to design a report that looks like the image i have attached. I call this report as Spindown Report. Being a newbie in BIRT, i need some advise from expert on how to design this report. Here how it goes;

1st column) The report is group by months in year (month of records imported into db)
2nd column) Number of records imported into db for that month (each record carries own balance)
3rd column) Sum of balance for total records imported in that month
4th & following columns) Each month divided to 2 rows:

Highlighted in red (month 1): sum amount - collected amount
Highlighted in green (month 1): collected amount; amount collected for records imported in 01/2012 where the collected date is 01/2012

Highlighted in red (month 2): sum amount - (collected amount in month 1 + collected amount in month 2)
Highlighted in green (month 2): collected amount; amount collected for records imported in 01/2012 where the collected date is 02/2012

Highlighted in red (month 3): sum amount - (collected amount in month 1 + collected amount in month 2 + collected amount in month 3)
Highlighted in green (month 3): collected amount; amount collected for records imported in 01/2012 where the collected date is 03/2012

The balance of month 12 will be carry forward for year 2013 and (month 1 to month 12; collected amount for year 2013 will be calculated over balance from year 2012)

and this keep going for balance months in columns and repeats same calculation for months in row. And the parameter for this report is years;date records imported (in list) and source of imported records.

I guess cross tab will go well in that.. Like u have group ur month 1 to 12 in a data cube group and add it ur cross tab.
To display the color u have use cross tab scripting
