Too many connection
Argonist
I hit "Too many connection" error, if the report is generated. I know, I should increase max-connections into config of mysql. Is it helpful? Or another solutions?
I am using a table (7 columns) for report and in each cell also a table! It is too much?
Goal: appointment-timetable (weekly listing)
| monday | tuesday | ....
username | 12.00-13.00 |
| 14.00-16.00 |
username1 |
...
also daily listing and monthly listing
If a user has no appoitment and should always appear into table.

Have you already made the max connections change? What is the exact error output?

Can we verify that the max_connections setting is in effect from the MySQL "client" side? In your BIRT design, temporarily change one of your Data Set's Query to the following and Preview Output. (Just don't save after previewing -- click Cancel in the Edit Data Set dialog.)<br />

If the settings are valid, we should take a step back and see why there are so many connections generated from your design (which typically should not happen). What does your design file look like? Can you attach a sample?

Thank you! The settings was not updated and into my.cnf was not working. So I used another way like this:<br />

<br />
After the settings it is working now! No more with "too many connections"
