ReportRunner not present in runtime 4.2.1
nikodem38
Hi,
I need to generate PDF reports by executing genReport.sh.
We installed Birt runtime 4.2.1 but an error occurs when executing genReport:
###### Generate Report into Reports/Indicators/MPW_Calendar.pdf from MPW_Calendar.rptdesign :
ssh ratrpc@c2x3036.cr2.st.com 'cd /work/ratsoft/devel/src/lys_extractor/script/../birt; /work/ratsoft/devel/src/lys_extractor/script/genReport.sh -f pdf -o Reports/Indicators/MPW_Calendar.pdf /work/ratsoft/devel/src/lys_extractor/script/../birt/MPW_Calendar.rptdesign'

Could not find the main class: org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.api.ReportRunner. Program will exit.
Where can I find this mandatory class?
Thanks for your prompt feedback
Nicolas

Have you set environment variable BIRT_HOME to the directory that contains the report engine? The bat/sh file you are using to generate your reports sets the java classpath automatically, there is no need for you to search for the class on your own. To set the classpath accordingly the script needs to have the BIRT_HOME variable set accordingly.
