Problem in viewing the report in web viewer

I am sending parameters to report from external jsp and report is being loaded in an iframe. To load the report I am calling below url,
http://localhost:8089/birt/frameset?__report=<report name>&<parameter list>

I am sending all the parameters through url query string. All the parameters are passed in the url.

For all the parameters isRequired attribute is set to false. However for one parameter (parameter type is date), exception is thrown with "parameter fromdate is not set". This is happening only in web viewer, however if I launch the report from eclipse it works fine.

Does this break for any date parameter? If so, can you set up a simple example that I can run that shows this?
