Image Import Corruption Problem
PaulD
I'm an TS Admin with a server on the US East Coast that is used by people in Europe. My users in the UK and FR are importing graphics into TeamSite and intermittently experiencing corrupted graphics. Has anyone seen this before?
thanks in advance,
Paul

I can't say I've seen this - but then my experience with such a scenario is pretty limited.
Can you provide some additional information:
1) What version of TeamSite / Templating (including SP, patches)
2) What platform is your TeamSite server (include OS version, locale, SP, patches)
3) What platform are the client machines from which these users are working (include OS version, locale, SP, patches)
4) What browser(s) are these users using (including vendor, version, ...)
5) What kind of network / bandwidth do you have between these sites?
6) Are there any errors recorded in any of the TeamSite, iw-webd, iwui logfiles that would appear to be related to the time when these imports take place?
Hopefully some of this information will help someone in these forums to assist you in the diagnosis.

1) What version of TeamSite / Templating (including SP, patches)
We are running TS 5.5.2 SP2b, TST SP2b
(Version: 5.5.2 Build 14136 Interwoven 20021127)
2) What platform is your TeamSite server (include OS version, locale, SP, patches)
OS is NT 4.0 SP6, us-en, no patches beyond SP6
3) What platform are the client machines from which these users are working (include OS version, locale, SP, patches)
Client is running Win2k SP3, uk-en, no patches beyond SP3
4) What browser(s) are these users using (including vendor, version, ...) They are using IE6
5) What kind of network / bandwidth do you have between these sites? Not sure how to answer except there are large trunk lines running along the bottom of the Atlantic...
6) Are there any errors recorded in any of the TeamSite, iw-webd, iwui logfiles that would appear to be related to the time when these imports take place? I could find none. But this is a good idea so I am going to set up a time to try to specially recreate the issue. I will also post those results.

It looks like my users in the UK are getting the end of their binary (GIF,JPG,PDF, etc) files overwritten by HTML script for some reason. Probably a bad hub or browser but most likely not TS.

Obviously I'm happy it's probably not TeamSite - but regardless, if/when you figure out what's happening, please post a follow-up. This could help a lot of other folks who are trying to set up vastly distributed users.

How were the files corrupted? We had an issue with graphics only redering half way in the browser. I think there was a corruption issue on upload.
