Call Oracle Procedure in Birt

Hello, 
 
I've ran into following problem. I am able to call procedure with output parameter (which works fine) but I don't see any data in Preview Results or in Table. My call looks like

{call PROCEDURE(?, ?, 'const', ?, ?, ?)}
</pre>
 
last parameter is the ref_cursor object. So am I able iterate normally through Data Set by dataSetRow or do I have to work with the cursor?Maybe some complete example would be nice, I wasn't able to find anything about this topic (except <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/devshare/designing-birt-reports/588-create-data-source-on-stored-procedure-in-birt/#description'>link1</a>, <a class='bbc_url' href='http://enterprisesmartapps.wordpress.com/2011/02/24/oracle-stored-procedure-data-set-in-birt/'>link2</a> and <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/devshare/designing-birt-reports/447-using-stored-procedures-with-birt/'>link3</a> which are not really helpfull).

If your passing a parameter in your call then you aren't going to see the results in preview because you haven't passed it any data yet. If this isn't what you meant could you explain a little further? Thanks.

Hi Petr,

If there are no records in the Preview Results, then something must be wrong.
- Are you selecting from a temporary table in the stored procedure?
- Do you have default values entered for the parameters?
- Are the Output Columns of the data set created?

Thanks for answers, problem was in insufficient grants for procedure, database admin forgot to write them:)
