Birt chart axis label values

Hi All,

I am working on a new chart type and need to display string values as axis labels. Like 'item1','item2'(x-axis) in the attached chart image. I want to achieve this in the chart plug-in code and don't want to use java script or event handlers.Kindly help me out.

Oh, I have figured it out myself. I need to change axis type to text.
