How to create ODA DataSet Group Parameter set?
srisaibabu
Hi All,
Am currently working on a POC, for creating a ODA plugin in which the requirement is to create DataSet Group Parameters. As we are all familier with BIRT Group Report Parameters, similarly i want to create group dataset parameter set.
Any suggestions would be very helpful.
Appreciate your help.

Meaning you'd like to write a query with the standard '?' markers, then just associate the dataSet with a parameter group and the parameters would be assigned in the order of the parameter group? Let me know.

Hi Williams,
Thanks for your response.
I am working on creating an ODA plugin. And my requirement is to create BIRT Report Group Parameter's dynamically.
User activities are,
1 - Screen has a combo box filled with List of entries built using CustomDataSetWizardPage class.
2 - Based on user selection , i need to create Group parameter list dynamically within BIRT report.
3 - When Birt report runs user should view the attached screen.
Note: Each entry has different set of group parameter sets. Screenshot attached.
Please let me know if the requirement is clear for understanding.

Ok, so based on the user's initial selection, you want to create the parameter groups for the parameter screen, within the report? I'm not sure you'll be able to do this easily. The parameters are called before the report scripts. One thing you might be able to do is to create all of your parameter groups and then create a custom jsp parameter page and only show the groups that you're needing. You might be able to do something externally to the report and then modify the design prior to running the report. Let me know if I'm misunderstanding something.
