how to write logs for my Birt Report queires

i have integrated my birt Reports with web application.now i write logs for queries..

i am writing all queries beforeOpen event of DataSet, now i want write that queries into log for debugging purpose in site,

please any one give some suggestion on it, if any one give some sample means i am so happy.......

Do you need it to be in a text file? <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/devshare/designing-birt-reports/1170-using-a-popup-debug-window-in-birt/'>This devshare</a> shows how to use a popup debug window in BIRT. You could modify that and save the output of that window to a file.
