DATA SET "FROM parameter"

hello dear community.
maybe a dumb question but how do i set a tablename with a parameter?
i tried it with a String-parameter in my data set like so:
SELECT *
FROM ?
...
? = string-parameter.
but i get an error.
anyone an idea?
sry for my bad english.

You will need to attach the parameter for the report to the dataset by using the Parameters tab on the dataset editor

if you look at the screen shot you will see the dataset editor with the parameter tab on the left hand side when you are in this click NEW and add the data in like my example at the bottom is your link between the report parameter and the WHERE xxxx = ?<br />

in my case it was the BranchCode parameter

ok i think i understand you.
but thats not my problem.
i already have used parameters in my data sets going well when containing a condition used as WHERE xxxx = ?.
what i want is a parameter which contains the tablename i want to select from:
on this one i get an error (maybe a datatype-conflict)
