Create reports at command line

Hi,

i have a problem. In the past i used the birt-runtime-2_5_1 to create output from several report designs with a batch file. Now i have a report design which was creates with a newer version of birt and the birt-runtime ist to old. Now i downloaded the birt-runtime-4_2_1 (i also tried an older one) but when i tried to run the genreport.bat (in the genreport.bat i set the birt-home variable manually) i always get an classNotFoundException : could not find the main class: org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.ReportRunner.

Can somebody help to fix the problem?

What is the path that you are setting BIRT_HOME to?

Hi,
in the genreport.bat i do the following:

SET BIRT_HOME=W:\..\birt-runtime-4_2_1 (it is a path to local folder on my HD where i extracted th edownloaded zip)

I add a text file where I wrote in the content of the BIRTCLASSPATH variable from the genreport.bat. In the file i do not find a class which is needed.

I am not aollowed to set an environment variable.
