A connection profile is a way to store credentials of commonly used databases. When you create a new dataset you have the option to create from a data source type in the list provided. Next you have to fill in all the information for that connection. If you create a connection profile you can choose to select create connection profile in the profile store instead.

please explain ,how Birt will manage DB connection's (i.e no of connections .... how they will connnect/release to/from DB in Birt)
