Does this happen on all columns? Or just specific ones? Can you create a sample using the sample database and attach the report, so I can run the same report that you're seeing the issue in? Thanks.
vashi
while selecting COLUMN in that select for REORDER.It happens only with this REORDER remains all are works fine like hide, show and delete etc.<br />

When Perform Show or Re-order columns from Launch interactive viewer getting an exception with FirFox16 but not in <FF15.
vashi
Hi William,
the report works fine in <FireFox15 versions. But the exception shows in FF16 onwards. Is there any HTML5 parser issues.Because FireFox lower versions there is no HTML5 parser related things. Here may be the parser unable to parse the data correctly. Is there any workaround.
Thanks,
Vashi

Can you attach a report that uses the sample database that has this issue, so I can test on a report I know you're having the issue with? Thanks!
vashi
Hi Williams,
Launch interactive viewer
Problem is not with data.......even there is no data...applying reorder it get an exception..!
When Perform Show or Re-order coloumns from Launch interactive viewer getting an exception with FF16.Respective screen shot attached
Issue is with 3rd party tools. Collapse and expand of **** results in **** details page are not working as expected in Mozilla 15 and earlier versions working fine.
May be OPINION:
Since html5 stricter parsing engine by default enabled in FF versions and as the validation is not proper in 3rd party tools we are facing this issue. Is this only way to come out of this issue is by disabling html5 parser manually from Firefox config preferences.
Above also NOT helpful to resolve this issue...!!?
OR else...???!!!
Thanks...
Vashi

I wanted a sample report that you were having an issue with, partly because I'm not seeing the same issue. I have FF17, not FF16, so that could be part of it. Using re-order columns works fine and dragging to re-order the columns works fine, for me.

Hi Williams,
so...r u expecting this from our product side.if it is coming from product side then why it is not getting in FF16.
Thanks,
Vashi

There is a sample database that comes with BIRT. I just figured if you could give me a report where you saw the issue, that I could run, then I'd know for sure if it was just happening to you. I don't think it'd make much difference, now that I know you're using Actuate 9/10. I'm using Actuate 11SP4, so there are probably many differences in them. Are you planning on upgrading to Actuate 11 anytime? You might file a support case for this, with Actuate support. Without having the version you're using, it'll be tough for me to do much testing on it.
vashi
Thank you Williams.let me check with my senior developers on this actuate migration..........probably we can discuss much on this kind of exception once done...!?
mwilliams
Hopefully, if you're able to upgrade, this will not be an issue. It may just be something that changed in FF that the older Interactive Viewer wasn't tested for, which is why it's working for you in older versions of FF, but not in newer.

Did upgrading solve your issue? If you haven't done it yet, you could try it by downloading a trial version of Actuate 11:
