send an email, when the user takes ownership

I have a group task. When the user takes ownership of that group task, I would like to send an email to content creator saying that the content is under review. (I can write one external task to send an email). there should not be any clicks(an intraction), once user takes ownership.

Could any one throw some light on this.

If you are having the user take ownership through a CCI link in an email message, you could replace the default take ownership link with a custom jsp or whatever that would send the email and redirect to the default page that takes ownership. But that won't work if they take ownership through the TeamSite UI (Interwoven, it should).

You can write a script to be triggered on any event that generates a message to the trace log, so you can write one with TaskGroupTaken for this. See the documentation for iwat.
