Actuate BIRT vs Ecllipse BIRT

Hi All,
This is Arun kumar. Recently I had an interview with one reputated MNC.In that interview they asked me the following questions:

1. What is the difference between Actuate BIRT and Ecllipse BIRT.
2. How can we compile .rptdesign file
3. How can we get .exe files.

If anybody knows the answers for above questions Please Let me know in detail.

You can run rptdesigns from the designer, java, command line, and the webviewer. You can download the executables from the downloads page. Actuate BIRT was built on open source BIRT. It has neat features in it like flash charts and other gadgets not included in the open source BIRT package. Actuate BIRT also allows for you to connect to more data sources out of the box and also support JavaScript API.
