Runtime Warning noise

Hello there -- we are passing one parameter to our reports under BIRT 2.6.2 and the following warning shows up in the logs for every transaction....the docs are working fine but these messages are making the log very large. We would like to eliminate this message but we would like to see other warnings that might be helpful.
Any insight on how to avoid this warning?

Here is a simple rptdesign that uses the one parameter which is needed by the SQL in the dataset....i tried to attach the library file but got a message saying that type of file was not permitted for upload.<br />

Can you zip up the library and attach it? I'm assuming that's where all of your dataSources and dataSets are coming from.

Yes, i have attached the library file which has the datasources and datasets...all of the datasets use the same parameter which is basically the key to the database table which drives the processing.

Michael -- here is what i get in the BIRT Engine log at runtime...this shows you the db query where we pass in the one parameter to resolve DOCUMENT_REQUEST_DETAILS.GUID. Let me know if i can give you anything else.<br />

I can't find evidence of this warning message anywhere else. Nor do I see anything in your report or query above that I would think would cause an issue. Maybe something doesn't like the '$' character being in your parameter name? Or maybe try making the report parameter local rather than from a dataSet and see if that helps. If neither of those help, can you recreate this issue with the sample database, by chance?

Michael - thanks for taking a look at it....i will experiment a bit and see what might be happening. Since it is only noise in the logs it it not a huge priority right now. I just wanted to make sure we were doing something obviously wrong. -- len

It doesn't appear you're doing anything obviously wrong. If you find out what it is and it's not something like a special character causing fits or something or if you don't find a way to get rid of it, log a bug for it in the eclipse.org/birt bugzilla.
