Birt report error
durisetti
Hi,
I have the java code(file attached) is used to display birt report in a browser, it is working fine at all our client machines, except at one machine.
When i see the log, the code is executing, but nothing happening (either error messages or report displayed).
Do you have any idea, please let me know, thanks.
Environment:
OS: Windows 7
Tomcat Server: 6.0
BIRT runtime: 2.5.2
NOTE: I am able to run the same report from client machine(reports on server machine), but not able to run on server machine.
Please let me know if you need any other information, thanks.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
-regards
Rajendra

Ok. So, this is running from all client machines fine, but not from the server where the reports are hosted? Is that what you're saying? Let me know.

Yes, you are right. On server machine, manually i am able to run reports, but not from my java application(code attached), the same application is working fine from client machines.<br />
I have spent lot of time on this, but could not able to figure out the cause.<br />
<br />
Please let me know, if you know the cause and solution for this, thanks.<br />

Are you getting any sort of browser error? When you run locally, are you using localhost or 127.0.0.1? Or are you trying to call the report the same as you would from an external system?

1) No browser error message. It's not even showing-up.<br />
<br />
2) I am using localhost in my java application<br />
(my URL is <a class='bbc_url' href='
http://localhost:8080/birt-viewer/frameset?__report=****.rptdesign'>http://localhost:8080/birt-viewer/frameset?__report=****.rptdesign</a>).<br
/>
This code is working fine at all my client's server and client machines except<br />
at one clients server machine this is not working and at the same for the same client, at client machine <br />
this is working.<br />
<br />
3) Yes, i am calling the same way as external system.<br />
<br />
<br />
Please let me know the cause and solution, thanks.<br />

What are the differences between the machines in which it's not working to those where it's working? Is there a different browser being used? If you use "run" in your url, instead of "frameset" does it change anything? Let me know.
