Birt Report Viewer Shows Nothing

I am using WebViewerExample to view my reports. Why this happen when I used the link http://localhost:8080/WebViewerExample/frameset?__report=items.rptdesign? But when I used the http://localhost:8080/WebViewerExample/run?__report=items.rptdesign It shows the data. I want to export the data to pdf...please help
