Actuate 10 OID Issue
Pablo77
We have an Actuate 10 Service Pack 1 Fix 2 server. Every 28 days we reset the password for the admin account that our reports run under. Our user authentication is done via Oracle's OID - Oracle Internet Directory. This month we went passed the 28 day window and the password expired. Our Oracle DBA got it reset. However, when we logged in to the Actuate server, our reports were still there but all the scheduled reports had been deleted. My co-worker was able to figure out the schedule data - date, time, email list, etc. - via the report logs and is rescheduling the reports. To avoid this in the future, what we would like to know is why the scheduled reports are being deleted? Our Oracle DBA claims this would not be from anything that he can see on the Oracle side. He did say that the account was disabled by Oracle. Is there something in Actuate that would delete scheduled jobs if an account is disabled? If so, is there an Actuate option or setting to prevent this from happening?

The reports will not be deleted if the user account is disabled. Scheduled reports will not be removed permanently, unless it was explicitly deleted via:
You find more information about the iServer's archiving policy in the Managing an Encyclopedia Volume manual. Here is a sample excerpt (<a class='bbc_url' href='

files and removing empty folders).
Here's an example screenshot of the Auto Archive tab for a folder:
