Problem Displaying JPG's under WebSphere 7.x
lenburt
We have quite a few templates (basically letters) which display a company logo at the top -- we have this specified on the Master Page. This works fine in development mode and even at runtime under WebSphere when we create either HTML or PDF files.
here is how it looks in the rptdesign:
<page-setup>
<simple-master-page name="Simple MasterPage" id="2">
<page-header>
<image id="100">
<property name="height">0.5520833333333334in</property>
<property name="width">1.5833333333333333in</property>
<property name="source">file</property>
<expression name="uri" type="constant">Resources/Images/BankofCGI.jpg</expression>
</image>
</page-header>
</simple-master-page>
</page-setup>
Under WebSphere we have mixed results...the logo in the hTML doc references an image file on the application server so it looks like WebSphere is copying it from the resource directory.
"file:/C:/CACS90-WAS/WAS/CACSProfile/logs/file9.jpg"
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve this?....we need the html and pdf docs to have image embedded so they can be distributed and e-mailed to customers. I have tried to 'embed' the image without success.
thanks, len

So, when you drop the image element into the report design, you've tried selecting "embedded image" rather than "uri"?

Michael -- i am experimenting with this option and i will update the post if i get it to work...it seems strange to me that it would work under WebLogic but not WebSphere....i am thinking 'embedded image' is probably the way to go. -- thx, len

Unfortunately I don't have WebLogic or WebSphere to test with. Hopefully the embedded image option works for you.
