Oracle JDBC Driver for OD5.6

Hi All,

To configure your own reporting server database,

under step no:5 of page 274 of admin 5.6 document.

Copy the JDBC driver .jar files associated with your database to the following location:
admin-home/httpd/iwwebapps/opendeploy/WEB-INF/lib
I am going with Oracle/JDBC Thin connection.

do any one know what is the exact file name i have to get i found this file name Smiley Surprised

racle-Home/oradb/ord/ts/jlib/thindriver.zip

please can any one give me what is the exact name of the file that i need to copy.

I believe the name of the file is classes12.zip. You need to rename the file to have a .jar extension (see p. 9 of the OD 5.6 release notes.)

The file AdminServer\odadmin\config\examples\adminEventReportingConfig.xml illustrates how to specify Oracle.

I used this file classes12.zip and followed page 274 of admin but i am getting errors:

The upper part of servlet.log indicates if reporting server is started. Without including that log infomation, it is hard to tell what part of Oracle configuration causes this error.

I suggest to try:

-- Post you servlet.log again (search for reporting server section)
-- try to revert back config (adminEventReportingConfig.xml) to out-of-box), to see if there is any XML error
-- Double check that classes12.jar (NOT .zip) is indeed in WEB-INF/lib
-- STOP server and restart
-- STOP server and change your configuration to Oracle
-- CHECK, all tables are created in Oracle
-- START the Server

Hi ,

Did you got this working....i am attaching my log file.i had given .jar only. I tried up to this...changed the configuration to oracle. How do i perform the step number 6 to check the tables in oracle.....Is that i need to run iwoddbtool under
/usr/local/iw-home/AdminServer/odadmin/db

stop the server and run under

AdminServerInstallHome/odadmin/db

iwoddbtool -sql dropODEvents_Ora.sql

and

iwoddbtool -sql ODEvents_Ora.sql

iwoddbtool -sql quickreportlist_Ora.sql

restart the ADmin Server. I assume this is a table initialization problem. Normally, this should be done by a DBA and an user is given right previlige (user name and password).

Also, please make sure out-of-box is working before trying Oracle. So we can solely focus on one issue.
