Problem in passing query string parameters from HTML to beforeOpen method of BIRT

Hi, 
 
I'm new to BIRT and I'm having troubles fetching the query string parameters of HTML attributes in beforeOpen() script of my Data Set.

I'm trying to check in beforeOpen script if the param values are present or not. 
Below is the beforeOpen script:

Please help me on this. 
 
The idea is to show/hide a graph out of, say, 10 graphs based on user selection in drop down lists. Currently, I'm only testing if the params are being passed successfully.

I do this one by building the parameters into an array in the HTML, then parse it out in the rptdesign. This example has 7 parameter elements, yet I only pass 1 into my report at runtime.

I don't understand why it is not evaluating "choice" as the stack trace says "Script engine error: Report parameter "choice" does not exist."

choice is the parm I'm setting in HTML. Pls see below:

Saroj, I parse the array in the Report Initialize, and assign values to report parameters, then I can use them anywhere I want in the report. It's also a lot easier to debug that way.
