passing result list into another statement

hi,

i have a result list from a statement and i want to pass this result list e.g. ID1, ID2, ID3,... to another statement to filter with this ids in a freetextfield by creating a regexp_like or with a loop...

can you please provide me some hints or a demo report how to manage this problem...

Hi Flosmi,

Did you consider using nested tables?
Take a look at this: http://www.eclipse.org/birt/phoenix/examples/reports/birt2.1/subreport/index.php

In short this is how it works:
- create the data set that selects the ID's
- drag a table item to the report and bind it to the data set that selects the ID's
- create a second data set that takes ID as a parameter
- drag a second table into the first table's detail line and bind it to the second data set
- select the second table, go to the binding tab, select the button "Data Set Parameter Binding" and bind the data set's parameter to the outer table's ID field
