Hi,

How to set reuse same data source for all reports.

let say i hv three report design , i want to use it one data source for these three files.

how to do this?

kclark i have few questions to ask. 
 
a.)how to make the birt report more attractive look and feel based on using javascript or css.something like sencha javascript graph. 
 
b.)I need to create a dashboard from this birt report.but i hv no idea how it need to be done.please tell me how to do the dashboard report?(By using dashboard do i need to purchase any tools or application?) 
 
c.)When say performance wise ,how to make the birt report perform faster,so generate the reports faster when retrieving huge data from db?

If you want to create a dashboard you should take a look at <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.birt-exchange.com/be/products/birt-user-experience/dashboards/features/'>BIRT 360</a>. Or you can make your own dashboard report with a single report design with drill through links or by using the <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.eclipse.org/birt/phoenix/deploy/viewerUsageMain.php'>tag library</a> and embedding the reports. 
 
There are a few different things that can effect performance. How many tables you have, grouping, and sorting can impact this. You can take a look a <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/forum/index.php/blog/3-birt-rocks/page__tag__sort by group__s__8e174503fa3ba581b594254f3f62dbc2'>progressive viewing</a> that will show the report as it pulls the rest of your data from the db.

Now i have another issue.
currently my company using the elixir report,i need to convert all the elixir report to birt report.

there is any conversion tool can be used to convert this report from elixir to birt?

pls suggest and need ur assistant on this matter urgently.

I'm not an expert but I think that there is no conversion tool for reports...
