Change the line colours in a line chart

Hello,

I am pretty new to BIRT, so please excuse, if this is a silly question: I have tried to alter the colour of the lines depending on the series value. For that purpose I have used the script described here: http://orb-data.com/knowledge-base/tips/tivoli/tcr-and-birt/birt-report-writing-dynamically-setting-chart-series-and-legend-colours.html

It works really fine for bar charts and changes the colours of the legend in the line chart also accordingly, but for some reason it won't change the colour of the lines themself.

Is there any obvious step or thing I am missing about line charts here?
