Dear All,

Can anyone advice how to use NVL in DataSet Query?
e.g. select policy_no from gnmt_policy where v_policy_no = NVL( ?, policy_no)

That's exactly it.

If policy_no is an numerical data type parameter, try making it a String type parameter and write the query like this:
select policy_no from gnmt_policy where v_policy_no = NVL( ?, to_number(policy_no))

to_number is Oracle syntax, change it in whatever function is used in your database for String to Number datatype conversion.
