Hi,<br />
<br />
For about 2 years we have been successfully using Birt webviewer (in serveral versions, latest update we did was 4.2.1) in a JBoss 5 deployed enterprise application.<br />
We recently had to upgrade to Jboss 7.1.1.Final.<br />
All our reports make heavy use of SOAP-Werbservice Datasource.<br />
<br />
After a while (1-20 Reports) JBoss will have some blocked http-thread waiting on WSDLGetInterceptor (cmp. my post in there <a class='bbc_url' href='
https://community.jboss.org/message/799127#799127'>Forum</a>). As far as I can tell this is because the socket where this WSDL is written to seems to get unresponsive. After a while (about 30 minutes) the request will be aborted throwing ClientAbortException caused by SocketException: "broken pipe".<br />
<br />
My question now would be, is there a chance to replace RPC-style SOAP 1.1 WebService-Datasources with SOAP 2.0-compatible or RESTful webServices? We'd really appreciate using Restful WS. But I haven't found any useful documentation on how to make a call to some rest-url in scripted data sources and evaluate the JSON result back to some JS-object.
