Visibility and page break problem
cmg_george
Hello,
I need a little help.
On my report, i have a Dynamic Text with Page Break After set to Always. If i set the visibility to hide for all outputs my report is render correctly (starting with the grid witch display the data). Now, i want to display the Dynamic Text if i export the report as pdf, so i tried to set For specific outputs expression to true for html and false for pdf, but in this case, when i view the report in html(html viewer) i get an empty page.
I'm doing something wrong? Or is this a bug?

I've attached a test report design with the problem and the java classes used for datasets.

This is because when you hide the dynamic text it will still follow the page break setting. You will need to check for the format of the report and drop the dynamic text based on that. You could use some code like the following in the initilaze of the report<br />
<br />
<pre class='_prettyXprint _lang-auto _linenums:0'>var format = reportContext.getOutputFormat();
var dynamicText = reportContext.getDesignHandle().getElementByID(49);
if(format == "pdf") {
dynamicText.drop();
}</pre>

This looks like a bug since when i hide it for all outputs it's working.
Any way i'll make this from code.
