Cascading Parameter

Hi,

i want to create a cascading parameter where i only choose the first parameter(query parameter) and all the others where automatically set out of this selection.

the table where the entries where stored looks like:

version, name, start_date, end_date

and i only want to choose the version parameter and all other parameters eg. for start_date where also set out of this selection.

-> is this possible via a cascading parameter? or how could it work?

Can you please tell me why you want all others in parameters only?

If you can tell your requiement then may be I can help. As you are saying you only want to select 1 parameter and on the basis on that other 3 parameters values will get populated. Then with these 4 parameters value what you want to do?

I think you can use sub-query in this situation.

i need this values in parameters because i want them in other statements and i want to e.g. set a startdate for a line chart.... i m more flexible with parameters.

so i dont know how is this possible with birt.. cascading, hidden,...? any sample reports available?
