Sort by total on optional y series grouping

Dear All,

Is there a way to set the sorting order when you have an optional y series grouping?
I would like to sort the data on the Total Sum of values but I only have the options to sort by the Value of the Y Series or the Optional y Series.

The following graph is produced.

Have you tried the following? on the select data tab, Category (X) Series on the right side the Edit group and sorting?
You should be able to use that to order by your total.

I have tried that option. As mentioned I only can sort by the value of the Y Series or the Optional Y Series from the drop down. 
 
Can I also mention, I'm using BIRT 2.3.2.

There is a blog post on filtering the values series here: http://enterprisesmartapps.wordpress.com/2013/01/15/birt-chart-filter-on-the-values-series/
The same approach can be applied for sorting.

Can you edit it and add the values together? I am not where I can verify, but I recall doing that successfully.
so add series 1 and 2 etc.
