OpenDeploy

We tried to perform OpenDeploy using 10 files with total size of 15MB.The process hangs but at the deployed directory creates three files.Also it does not return any error.

Suppose we send nortel.doc
at the receiver end in the corresponding directory we see

(1)nortel.doc
(2)nortel.doc.iwnew
(3)nortel.doc.iwold

We are performing open deploy on app server and web server.The open deploy works fine with small size files.

I am attaching the logs and the dnr used.

There does indeed appear to be an error in the logfiles:

Receiver-ERROR: ERROR: Renaming [/web/bizpoint/test70/bizpointDomain/applications/bizpointApp/bizpoint/cmastaticfiles/intranet/local_business/sales/sales_operation/announcement/html/images/announcementsheader_000.gif.iwnew] -> [/web/bizpoint/test70/bizpointDomain/applications/bizpointApp/bizpoint/cmastaticfiles/intranet/local_business/sales/sales_operation/announcement/html/images/announcementsheader_000.gif]

Can you check the protections on this file (the 2nd half of the above error) and all the directories leading to it?
Is your Receiver running as 'root'?

Also check that you have enough space on the target disk. If doing a transactional deployment, you'll need 3x space during the deployment.

We more than 1 GB space in both the deployment boxes. Both the base servers and receivers run as root. The Build version of the receiver is not the same as the base. Could it be a problem ?

The problem I think is that we are invoking the opendeploy through a call server. If it takes a lot of time, then the CGi is not able to return the value. We are using Iplanet and I have increased the timeout value to 10 minutes. It does not work even if open deploy takes 5 minutes.
