different parameters for different datasets

Hi friends,

Good day to you.My name is giridhar.i have a doubt,plz clarify me.i have to make a report which consists of different parameters to different data sets.


for ex, when i run a report on 8th of any month,it should give three different data sets based on the input,

1.The no. of CFP booked between 1st to 7th of that particular month.---data set one

2. No. of CFP asked between 23rd to 30th/31st of the previous month. --data set two

3. No. of CFP fulfilled between 23rd to 30th/31st of the previous month.--data set three


when i run a report on 15th of any month,it should give data like this,

1. The no. of CFP booked between 8th to 14th of that particular month.--data set one

2. No. of CFP asked between 1st to 7th of the previous month. -- data set two

3. No. of CFP fulfilled between 1st to 7th of the previous month.---data set three



These three data sets should be merged at last.

what should i do to acheive this functionality in my birt report.waht type of scripting should i use.

please help me.

What kind of data source are you connecting to? If it's a SQL DB you could create one report that gets the day of the month like this.<br />

<pre class='_prettyXprint _lang-auto _linenums:0'>var d = new Date();
var n = d.getDate();</pre>
<br />
Where n would equal the current day. Then you could redirect to the report passing the information along in a report parameter.<br />
<br />
Once you've been redirected to the report your SQL statement could select the information you need based on that parameter.
