Can anyone suggest how to invoke a New Data Record on a click of a Button from within the DCR?

There is an example of how this is done either as part of an education class or an example file. Search for a file BW_start_dct (or something similar). It was built with a CGI callout and I believe it was used in the generate an index page automatically sample.
