Files not deleted from target

Heres the scenario i delete 3 files in my workarea and add 3 other files.
I submit to staging and publish a fresh edition (edition_latest).
I perform teamsite edition comparison deployment, where the edition_latest is compared with the previous latest edition.
Now the previous latest edition contains the 3 files that have been deleted in latest_edition and does`nt have the 3 newly added files in latest_edition.
So i expect teamsite to deploy the 3 newly added files and remove the 3 deleted files from the target.
But that doesnt happen, the 3 new files are added to the target but the 3 deleted files were not deleted and are still present on the target.

Looking at the Log file, it sure does say that a delete operation was performed on the 3 files but in the final summary at the bottom it says Files deleted : 0.
Btw, i DO NOT have the dodeletes set to yes in my deployment defination.

Any hints ?

Eddie I believe that you have to set Do Deletes set to yes in order for the deletion to occur. I also believe that what you are seeing in the log files is the differences between the target location and the source edition, rather than a log of actions occuring and that is why you see 0 files deleted at the bottom of the log.
