dynamic datasets binding

hi,

i want to display result the first dataset(dataset_type) in a second dataset (dataset_details),
my problem is the first dataset contain one table and the number of the rows is unknown in first time

Dataset_type --> DB1 --> Table1 (id, designation) (rows are dynamic)

and dataset2 refer to DB2 who contain multiple Table_DETAILS (DETAIL 1, DETAIL 2? DETAIL 3, ...)
we supposed that all tables have the same structure (column1, column2, column3, column4)
and the number of these tables is dynamic also

Dataset_details --> DB2 --> Detail_1, Detail_2, Detail_3, ...

the idea is to build a report (template) with just two datasets, and display
each designation with correct detail on this form

designation1
Detail1
col1 | col2 | col3 | col4

Any help greatly appreciated as critical to us continuing with BIRT.

Do you have to only use two datasets? You could create dataset 1 and dataset 2 then join them together in a third to create the table with all of the data.

the problem i must add the tables in the second dataset, if we have 200 tables, it's not a good idea to create for each one a dataset joiner, the same problem about the first dataset we must add a new rows <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/forum/public/style_emoticons/'>http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/forum/public/style_emoticons/</a><#EMO_DIR#>/tongue.gif

Have you looked at whether lists and/or groups can achieve what you want?

Both let you have an outer DataSet and then to have an inner DataSet that is linked to it.

the problem is not in lists or groups, this is a problem of disposal of DataSets.

Is there a possibility to insert multiple tables dynamically (automatically) from a database and then display

the result of this DataSet in the table of another DataSet?
