Colored vertical bar on one side of the report

So I made a report with a vertical yellow bar running down the left side of the report like this:<br />

I did this by inserting a grid and having all my report elements like inside this grid. The I made the grid have a yellow border only on the left. Is there any other way to have a vertical bar on the left side of the report? I feel like the way I'm doing it is a little hacky.

That's probably how I'd do it. I'd actually probably make a 2 column grid and have the left column be the yellow bar and the right column hold the report elements. But either way works. Nothing wrong with doing it that way.
