Chinese Characters missing from report

Hi All,

The report I am displaying have Chinese character data; I can see it completelty on HTML page.
When I try to export same report in to pdf file. Many characters are missing.

Is that BIRT report issue or PDF Viewer issue?

PDF requires TTF, you'll need to make sure you have a TTF font that can display Chinese characters installed.

It means issue is for pdf viewer and not from BIRT side; right?

Hi guys, I think the problem might be not having the correct pdf font pack on the PC. I do a few chinese reports and sometime I type in traditional chinese, some in simplified chinese, and some just cut and paste from all sort of sources. And my report will only displayed properly if I have Japanese, Traditional and Simplified chinese font pack installed on my notebook. You can get font pack at:

But the challenge is to determine which font pack you really need. Actually, it might be interesting to know what are the missing words. Ancient Chinese charaters may not be supported :-).
