Loading Data on Initialize event of the report

Hi All,

We want to load data only at once on initialize of the report and before onPrepare event of any
element in Birt report.
Is it possible to do the same kindly guide us.

You could setup a data set to run your query and not use it with any elements in the report. Then you could use the data engine API in the beforeFactory() to access the data set's data and store it in an array. <a class='bbc_url' href='http://www.birt-exchange.org/org/devshare/designing-birt-reports/1542-data-engine-api-to-check-data-set-values/'>Here's a devshare</a> showing how to use the data engine.
