How to get the NEXT TASK ID

Hi all,

I have an external task which is basically an CCI email and this has to have a link to the next task and how do i get the next task id, well the next task could be taskid+1 but some cases it might be something else also.. so how do i handle that, any help is appreciated

You can get it this way if you know the "name" of the Next Task in the externaltask of your workflow.
Put this code in ur external task script.
my($wfid, $taskid, $area) = (shift, shift, shift);

my $job = new TeamSite::WFworkflow($wfid);
my $taskName ="<name of the next task>";
my ($rc, $taskbyname) = $job->GetTaskByName($taskName);
my $nextTaskID = $taskbyname->GetId();
