I would like to know how i can call a birt report from java. In particular I would like to launch the viewer exporting directly to PDF.

Yes. In the examples on the Eclipse website, it shows you, under the section entitles Report Engine API.

I can not configure the tomcat or jboss to launch a report whose data source is a uml model (extension. emx).
The question is whether from Rational software architect I can make a call to own RSA viewer.
