Hi,

i want to know how to get an element by ID or by name in a eventAdapter. by example, i've made a TableEventAdapter class and i want to get a DynamicText element on this TableEventAdapter by his ID(75) or by his name("TitreProcess"), how can i do it?

You could use something like

var myElement = reportContext.getDesignHandle().getElementByID(75);

thanks you for the reply.i think the solution you give would work if i did BIRT scripting. However, i 've chosen to do EventAdapter java class instead. Is there an other solution that fit for EventAdapter java class? If not, i would abandon EventAdapter java class and would do BIRT scripting with your solution.
